Hi, I’m Doug, an amateur photographer which in Midwest terms means I'm serious about it but try not to make a big deal out it.

I’m patient about good light—sometimes stubbornly so—and don’t mind waiting a few extra minutes for things to line up just right. I tend to take a few more photos than planned, shrug, and say, “That’ll do,” even when I’m genuinely proud of how it turned out.

I believe great visuals should be clean, intentional, and maybe a little magical—photography is really just problem-solving with a camera.
